Luana Myrto, 25, is an advocater for human rights, with a background in Political Science and ongoing studies in Law at the University of Tirana. She is the founder of Autostima, a creative and educational lab that empowers marginalized youth, those distanced from the society through professional development, art, and cultural engagement. Luana also serves as the Executive Director and co-founder of Ylberofilia, an organization that uses art as a form of protest to defend human rights. While Ylberofilia embraces a wide spectrum of causes, its core focus lies in advancing Trans rights, a mission deeply rooted in Luana’s own lived experience and gender identity. Her creative voice extends into the world of theater, where she is the author of two original plays: 🎭 Zanafilla (The Beginning) 🍷 Darka e Fundit (The Last Supper) Both works explore the philosophical tensions between ideology and theology, challenging traditional narratives through introspective storytelling. In addition to her stage work, Luana has also written and contributed as a screenwriter and creative lead on seven short films, each dedicated to themes of human rights, resistance, and identity. Through her artistic and activist journey, Luana continues to challenge the structures of exclusion and inspire visibility, healing, and pride especially for those whose voices have long been pushed to the margins.
